The annual day celebration of the M.M.S. Department was conducted with great enthusiasm and spirit, reflecting the vibrant culture and collective achievements of the institute. The program commenced with a welcome address by Prof. Francis Lobo, followed by the traditional “Lighting of the Lamp” ceremony by the esteemed chief guests—C.A. Mr. Shalin Divatia and Dr. Aditi Divatia — along with Mr. Bharat Shah, Dr. Iram Shaikh, and Prof. Francis Lobo. The symbolic act marked the beginning of the celebration with a spirit of enlightenment and positivity.
A devotional Ganesh Vandana, beautifully performed by the students, invoked divine blessings for the occasion. This was followed by the Annual Day Address by Director Dr. Iram Shaikh, who highlighted the department’s growth, key milestones, and student achievements over the years.
Prof. Francis Lobo formally introduced the Chief Guests, recognizing C.A. Mr. Shalin Divatia, Managing Partner at S.R. Divatia & Co., and Dr. Aditi Divatia, Associate Professor at S.P. Jain Institute of Management Research, acknowledged their contributions in their respective fields. The Guests of Honor, Mr. Bharat Shah (Trustee and Promoter of Ruby Mills) and Mr. Yogen Lathia (Trustee and Industrialist at Lathia Enterprises), were also duly acknowledged and felicitated.
Both the Chief Guests and Guests of Honors delivered insightful and motivational addresses, inspiring students to strive for excellence and integrity in their pursuits.
The Academic Prize Distribution recognized students for their outstanding scholastic performance, while the Sports Awards celebrated excellence in various indoor and outdoor campus sports activities.
The cultural program featured a vibrant lineup of performances that reflected the talent and enthusiasm of the students. It included three dynamic group dances & three solo dances, each marked by energetic choreography and team coordination, as well as a graceful duet dance that highlighted synchronization, expression, and creativity. These performances added color and rhythm to the evening, captivating the audience and enhancing the celebratory spirit of the event. It also included three solo songs, including our faculty member Mr. Shahid Qureshi. All the singers delighted the audience with their musical talent, showcasing the incredible talent and enthusiasm of the students.
The evening further sparkled with a Bollywood-themed fashion show, where students confidently showcased their creativity, style, and vibrant attire.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Prof. Parth Bal, who expressed gratitude to all guests, contributors, and participants. The Annual Day was a resounding success, blending celebration, recognition, and cultural expression into an evening of unforgettable memories.
