The Seminar on ‘Financial Literacy – Investor Awareness Program’ was planned after the details were forwarded to us by Prof. Asha Varma, a SEBI SMART Trainer.
After discussing the matter with all teaching and non-teaching staff members during the 6 th AQAC meeting and seeking approval from the authorities, Prof. Francis Lobo coordinated with Prof. Asha Varma and arranged for the “Investor Awareness Program” on the 4 th of October, 2025.
It was attended by 40 FY and SY students, 6 faculties and 3 admin staff (totaling it to 49) and it was well conducted by the distinguished speaker herself. The session was all informative, insightful, interactive and interesting. It was appreciated by all as the financial implications and investment needs for people were well explained and thus the session was thoroughly enjoyed by all. At the end, the speaker conducted a MCQ test and those students who answered them were given
chocolates as a token of appreciation. Then feedback of the session was sought and a copy of the same maintained.
