Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Aruna Manharlal Shah Institute of Management and Research (AMSIMR) on 27th February 2026 at 10:45 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The vibrant event aimed at promoting the richness and cultural heritage of the Marathi language. The program featured various cultural performances and activities, making it a memorable occasion for all attendees. All students attended the programme in traditional ethnic
attire, adding vibrancy and a strong cultural spirit to the celebration.

The program commenced with a welcome address by Professor Parth Bal, who highlighted the importance of preserving the Marathi language and encouraged students to take pride in their mother tongue.

The sequence of events which followed is as below:
1. Group Prayer Song by Pratik, Manasvi, and Sai (FY), which set a respectful and positive tone for the celebration.
2. Speech by Akshata (FY), emphasizing the relevance of teachings of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in today’s times, followed by an energetic Shiv-
Garjana performed by Akshata (FY), Sai (SY), and Atharva (SY), filling the hall with enthusiasm and cultural pride.
3. Solo Lavani Dance by Swati (FY), showcasing the grace and vibrancy of Maharashtra’s folk tradition.
4. Speech by Sakshi (SY), who spoke about the importance of sustaining Marathi in a globalized world.
5. Documentary Presentation on Marathi Folk Art and Festivals by Sejal and Dipali (SY) along with Rutuja (FY), which enriched the audience’s
knowledge about Maharashtra’s diverse cultural heritage.
6. Solo Lavani Dance by Sakshi (FY), which was energetic and highly appreciated by the audience.
7. Impromptu Speech by Pratik Bhagat (FY), demonstrating confidence and spontaneity in expressing ideas in Marathi.
8. Solo Song by Pratik (FY), concluding the cultural segment on a melodious and heartfelt note.

The event concluded with a closing address by Professor Parth Bal, who appreciated the efforts of all participants and emphasized the continued responsibility of
preserving and promoting our mother tongue. The celebration ended with a potluck lunch featuring traditional Marathi delicacies brought by first- and second-year students. The spread included popular dishes like Puran Poli, Misal, Ghavne, Sheera, Mas Wadi, Kothimbir Wadi, Sabudana Wada, and many more, offering a delicious taste of Marathi cuisine. The event ended after the potluck.

Overall, Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din 2026 was celebrated with great zeal, unity, and active participation. The event successfully reinforced pride, respect, and love for the Marathi language among all present.
