‘United Nations Interfaith Harmony Week 2016’ was celebrated by AMSIMR in association with Religious Harmony Foundation, Borivali (East), Mumbai during February 1-6, 2016. It was inaugurated by Mr. Manish Tripathi, Founder and President of Religious Harmony Foundation on February 1, 2016. He delivered a vibrant lecture on ‘The Importance of Religious Harmony’.

Dr. Ram Puniyani, Chairman, Centre for Study of Society and Secularism and Editor, Secular Action Network; Adv. Irfan Engineer, Director, Centre for Study of Society and Secularism and Editor, Indian Journal of Secularism; and eminent Cardiologist & General Physician, Narendra Hospital, Mumbai were some of the other guest speakers who delivered very informative speeches during the week.

Essay Competition on ‘Religious Harmony: A Key to World Peace’, Presentation Competition on ‘Religious Harmony: A Tool for the Progress of Nations’, Panel Discussion on ‘Religious Harmony: The Prerequisite for Nation Building’, Release of Hindi film on ‘Religious Harmony’, Screening of Marathi film on ‘Religious Harmony’, and Medical checkup for aged people were held at AMSIMR.

Release of Marathi film on ‘Religious Harmony’ at Maheshwari Vidyalaya and Junior College, Ghatkopar (West), and Children’s Painting Competition on ‘Religious Harmony for National Integration’ at SVDD English Medium High School, Ghatkopar (East) and Fatima High School, Vidyavihar (West) were conducted outside the institute to create awareness about religious harmony.
