On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Azad, October 15th has been declared as the ‘Vachan Prerna Diwas’ by the government. Coming under the IIC club, the institute undertook to organize ‘Vachan Prerna Diwas’ on 15 th October, 2025 within the library of the institute.

At the outset, Prof. Parth Bal addressed the attendees briefing them about the significance of the day. Also, a briefing regarding the rich collection housed by the Library was given. Dr. Iram Ma’am encouraged the students to cultivate good reading habits, highlighting how regular reading enhances comprehension, critical thinking, and creativity—skills that remain invaluable even in an era dominated by Artificial Intelligence. She emphasized that while AI tools can provide quick information, true understanding and originality stem from consistent reading and reflection.

By engaging with books, journals, and articles, students can strengthen their vocabulary, analytical ability, and independent judgment. Dr. Iram Ma’am further emphasized that reading nurtures emotional intelligence and empathy—qualities that technology cannot replicate—thereby helping students develop into well-rounded individuals equipped for both academic and professional success. The students explored the library’s collection in further depth and the journals, with enthusiasm and interest. The event concluded later in the afternoon.
