An Industrial Visit to Nasik-Saputara was coordinated/organised by our Director Madam, Dr. Iram T. Shaikh with Mr. Pratik Kharat, the proprietor of WTT Tours and Tourism. Accordingly, things were further coordinated by Prof. Francis Lobo with the students and the travel agent. 14 students were accompanied by faculties viz Profs. Francis Lobo, Pankaj Kulkarni and Dr. Rama Goel.

As planned, we undertook our journey by AC bus on 23/04/2024 at 7.00 a.m. with proper First-Aid Box and attendance of students. We reached Vasindh on the way to Nasik and at around 9.30 am, we had our breakfast at Sai-Pranjali restaurant. We then proceeded to Nasik and on the way visited Meta Forge Engineering (I) Pvt. Ltd, a company manufacturing over 3000 metal spares for different clients across the country. We also met one of the owners of the company i.e Kaustubh Mehta, who joined us for a photograph on request.

Then we proceeded to Sahyadri Farms and enjoyed a simple maharashtrian food with mango juice (Amras). Soon after our meals, we were escorted to their corporate office, and went around the Food Processing Plant. We were shown videos about their products and food processing units and it was so wondrous to know that their activities are spread in an area of 120 acres. The upkeep and cleanliness of the buildings and premises was highly appreciable. The fruits and vegetables collected from various farmers are all treated/processed at the plant and made qualitative products and thus 80% of the produce is exported to many countries of the world. The company escort Mr. Piyush Malode well explained all the activities and later made us taste one of their products i.e Guava Juice.
On completing the visit, we proceeded further to reach our destination (Hotel Lake View) at around 5.45 p.m. After evening tea, we relaxed ourselves in rooms allotted to us and then around 9.00 p.m. enjoyed a delicious and a sumptuous dinner.

The next day, some of us around 6.30 a.m. visited the sunrise point. It was one of the best sight- seeings. On return, at 8.30 a.m. we had our breakfast and then proceeded to the Nageshwar Temple, the Rope Way and the Table Point. The rope way was experienced and enjoyed by all. On return to the hotel, after lunch, we had our siesta and in the evening after tea went around the nearby lake walking and spent time together singing and making fun. We did not go boating as the water had dried up. Thereafter, we had our DJ dance from 7.30 p.m. to late 11.00 p.m. and simultaneously had our dinner.

The third day, we got up late, at 8.30 a.m we had our breakfast and by 9.30 a.m. checked out of our rooms. We were taken around the Step Garden and the Adventure Park. Students played a number of games and then we returned back to the hotel to have our lunch at 12.45 p.m. We started our return journey around 2.00 p.m. and on the way stopped at Sapro (a retail opening of farm products) in Saputara just as we have Mapro at Mahabaleshwar. While we were shopping, our students noticed a young man falling from his bike. When they ran to him, he lay unconscious but had bruises all around body. So our students helped him to regain his consciousness and cleaned his wounds with the first aid box that we had carried. Pratik Dhasal, our SY student called his relatives over the phone and gave the information about the accident. After keeping him in safe hands of the villagers from the nearby shop, we began our journey; only to halt once again at Sai –Pranjali restaurant to have our evening tea and snacks. From there, we finally reached safely to the institution and our homes at different times between 9.30 p.m.and 11.00 p.m.
